This topic describes how to configure Quick BI query acceleration.
Background information
Quick BI is a next-generation business intelligence (BI) service platform on the cloud.
Quick BI allows you to analyze a large amount of data online in real time and perform
drag-and-drop operations. It also provides abundant data visualization features. Quick
BI provides the ability to accelerate MaxCompute queries by using Data Lake Analytics
(DLA). When your report is created based on MaxCompute data sources, you can configure
the serverless Presto engine of DLA on Quick BI to accelerate data queries of MaxCompute
data sources. This saves the query time and improves user experience.
Procedure
- Activate the serverless Presto engine of DLA CU Edition.
Only the serverless Presto engine of DLA CU Edition provides the query acceleration
feature for MaxCompute. For more information about how to activate the serverless
Presto engine of DLA CU Edition, see
Create a virtual cluster.
Note
- The serverless Presto engine of DLA CU Edition must be deployed in the same region
as MaxCompute whose projects require query acceleration.
- We recommend that you use 32 or more compute units (CUs) for the serverless Presto
engine of DLA CU Edition. One CU equals one CPU core and 4 GB of memory.
- Configure the serverless Presto engine of DLA CU Edition.
Configure the serverless Presto engine of DLA CU Edition on Quick BI.
Note Before you configure this engine on Quick BI, add the Classless Inter-Domain Routing
(CIDR) blocks 10.152.69.0/24, 10.152.163.0/24, and 139.224.4.0/24 to a whitelist of
DLA. If you do not add these CIDR blocks to the whitelist of DLA, Quick BI cannot
connect to DLA and query acceleration cannot be achieved.
