- Why do I pay additional storage fees for instances on a subscription host that I have
This is because you selected Enhanced SSD as the storage type when you purchased the host. ApsaraDB for MyBase hosts support Local SSDs and Enhanced SSDs.
- The fees of the hosts that use local SSDs include all costs of the instances that run on the hosts. When you create an instance, you do not need to pay additional storage fees.
- Hosts that use enhanced SSDs (ESSDs) can decouple computing from storage. In these cases, the fees of these hosts include only computing fees. After you create an instance, you are charged for the used storage space of ESSDs.
- How are services affected if a host expires?
After a host expires, the host keeps running for 14 days. If you do not renew the host during the 14-day retention period, the host stops running. After the host stops running, the system retains the host for six days. If you do not renew the host during the six-day retention period, the host is released. You can renew your host before the host expires or select Auto-renewal when you purchase the host. For more information, see Renew the subscription of a host.
