Remove a tag

You can remove tags from resources on the Tag page of the Resource Management console, on the Resource Search or Cross-account Resource Search page of the Resource Management console, or in the consoles of other Alibaba Cloud services. This section describes how to remove a tag from resources on the Tag page of the Resource Management console.

1. Log on to the Resource Management console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Tag > Tag.

3. In the tag list, find the tag that you want to remove from resources and click View Resources in the Actions column.

4. In the resource list, remove the tag from resources.

   • To remove the tag from a single resource, find the resource and click Remove from Resources in the Actions column.

   • To remove the tag from multiple resources at a time, select the resources, move your pointer over Actions below the resource list, and select Remove Current Tag.

5. In the Remove Current Tag dialog box, click Remove.

Delete a tag

For a predefined tag, you can downgrade it to a regular tag.

For a regular tag, after you remove it from all resources to which it is added, the system automatically deletes it within 24 hours. You do not need to manually delete it.
