This topic describes how to enable auto renewal for a cluster or single node that uses the subscription billing method. After you enable auto renewal, you do not need to manually renew your subscription.
Background
The subscription of a cluster or single node has a validity period. If you do not renew the cluster or single node before it expires, service interruption or even data loss may occur. If you enable auto renewal for your cluster or single node, you do not need to manually renew your subscription on a regular basis. This prevents service interruption caused by subscription expiration.
Considerations
- After you enable auto renewal for a cluster, the subscription fee is deducted from your account nine days before the cluster expires. Coupon deduction is also supported. Make sure that your account balance is adequate.
- If you manually renew the subscription of the cluster before the automatic fee deduction, the system automatically renews the subscription of the cluster next time before the cluster expires.
- After you enable auto renewal, it takes effect the next day. If your cluster expires the next day, manually renew the subscription of the cluster to prevent service interruption.
