ApsaraVideo Live allows you to take snapshots of live streams at a specified interval. You can store the snapshots in a specified Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket. This topic describes how to manage snapshots in the ApsaraVideo Live console.

View snapshots in the ApsaraVideo Live console

  1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Snapshots.
  3. Select the domain name, specify the time period, and enter an application name and a stream name.
  4. Click Search to view the snapshots in the specified time period. If no snapshots are displayed, check whether the access control list (ACL) of the OSS bucket in which the snapshots are stored is set to Public Read. For more information, see Configure the bucket ACL.
  5. You can move the pointer over a snapshot to zoom in the snapshot or copy the streaming URL of the snapshot.

Delete snapshots in the ApsaraVideo Live console

Create and authorize a RAM role

Before you can delete snapshots or recordings in the ApsaraVideo Live console, you need to perform the following operations to create a RAM role and grant permissions to the RAM role.

  1. Use your Alibaba Cloud account to log on to the RAM console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Identities > Roles.
  3. On the Roles page, click Create Role.
  4. In the Select Role Type step, select Alibaba Cloud Service in the Select Trusted Entity section and click Next.
  5. In the Configure Role step, configure the following parameters:
    • Set Role Type to Normal Service Role.
    • Enter AliyunMTSVideoLifecycleRole in the RAM Role Name field.
    • Enter content in the Note field based on your needs. This parameter is optional.
    • Select Media Transcoding Service from the Select Trusted Service drop-down list.
    Click OK.
  6. In the Finish step, a message indicating that the role is created appears. Click Add Permissions to RAM Role.
  7. In the Add Permissions panel, configure the following parameters:
    • Select System Policy in the Select Policy section.
    • Enter AliyunMTSVideoLifecycleRolePolicy in the policy name field.
    After the configuration is complete, click OK.

Delete snapshots

  1. Log on to the ApsaraVideo Live console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Snapshots.
  3. Select the domain name, specify the time period, and enter an application name and a stream name.
  4. Move the pointer over a snapshot and click Delete to delete the snapshot.

    Select snapshots and click Batch Delete to delete multiple snapshots at a time. You can delete up to 200 snapshots at a time.

Configure the bucket ACL

  1. Log on to the OSS console.
  2. On the Buckets page, click the name of the bucket that you want to configure.

  3. On the page that appears, choose Permission Control > Access Control List (ACL).
  4. On the Access Control List (ACL) tab, click Configure and select Public Read.
  5. Click Save.
