Resource Orchestration Service:Obtain a resource identifier property for resource import

Last Updated:Jan 24, 2024

When you import a resource, you must provide its resource identifier property. This topic describes how to call the GetResourceTypeTemplate and GetTemplateSummary operations to obtain the resource identifier property of a resource that you want to import. In the example, an ALIYUN::VPC::EIP resource is used.

Procedure

  1. Log on to OpenAPI Explorer.

  2. Call the GetResourceTypeTemplate operation to query the value of TemplateBody of the ALIYUN::VPC::EIP resource.

    1. Search for the GetResourceTypeTemplate operation.

    2. Set ResourceType to ALIYUN::VPC::EIP and click Initiate Call.

      Note

For more information about resource types, see List of resource types by service.

      The following result is returned:

  3. Call the GetTemplateSummary operation to query the information about the template that contains the resource identifier.

    1. Search for the GetTemplateSummary operation.

    2. Specify RegionId, set TemplateBody to the value of TemplateBody of ALIYUN::VPC::EIP obtained in Step 2, and then click Initiate Call.

      The following result is returned:

    3. View the value of ResourceIdentifiers in ResourceIdentifierSummaries. This value is the resource identifier property.

In this example, AllocationId is returned for ResourceIdentifiers. This indicates that an ALIYUN::VPC::EIP resource can be identified by using the ID of an elastic IP address (EIP).
