Add alert rules

This topic describes how to add alert rules.


  1. Go to the Cluster Workspace page. In the left-side navigation pane, click Monitoring.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Add Alert Rule.

  3. Set associated resources.

    • Product: Enter OceanBase Database by default.

    • Resource Range: Select All Resources or Cluster.

      • If you select All Resources, the system sends alert notifications if any metric of any instance of the specified service reaches the specified threshold.1

      • If you select Cluster and specify an instance, the system sends alert notifications only when a metric of the instance reaches the specified threshold. To create an alert rule for a group, go to the group resource page.2

  4. Set the alert rule.

    • Enter a rule name. Make sure that it is different from the names of existing rules.

    • Specify the rule information, such as the description, cycle, duration, average value, and threshold.

    • You can click Add Alert Rule to add multiple rules.

    • Specify Mute For by selecting from the drop-down list. It specifies the interval for sending alert notifications before the alert is cleared.

    • Specify the validity period by selecting from the drop-down lists.3

  5. Select a notification method.

    • Select recipients.

      • Select existing contacts.

      • Create a contact group.

    • Specify the alert notification method, specify whether to enable auto scaling and the log service, and add email remarks.

    • Set Alert Callback to a URL accessible over the Internet. CloudMonitor pushes alert information to the URL through POST requests.4

  6. Click OK.
