When your business loads decrease, you can adjust Peak TPS and Queues of your instance to smaller values to prevent resource waste and save costs. This topic shows you how to downgrade the configurations of an instance in the Message Queue for RabbitMQ console.

Prerequisites

A Message Queue for RabbitMQ subscription instance is created and is in the Running state. For more information, see Create an instance.
Notice You can downgrade configurations of only instances whose Instance Edition is Professional Edition and Billing Method is Subscription. You cannot downgrade configurations of instances whose Billing Method is Pay-as-you-go or Instance Edition is Basic Edition or Platinum Edition.

Background information

You can downgrade the following configuration items:

  • EIP Support
  • Internet TPS
  • Peak TPS
  • Queues
Notice After you increase limits on clusters for a Professional Edition instance, the actual limits depend on the value of Queues of the instance. If you decrease the value of Queues, the limits on clusters are also decreased. For more information, see Limits on clusters.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Message Queue for RabbitMQ console.
  2. In the Resource Distribution section of the Overview page, select the region where your instance is located.
  3. On the Instances page, click the name of your instance.
  4. On the Instance Details page, click Downgrade in the upper-right corner of the Overview section.
  5. Downgrade the configurations of the instance by using one of the following methods:
      1. In the panel that appears, set EIP Support, Peak TPS, and Queues, read and select Message Queue for RabbitMQ Subscription Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.
      2. In the Unpaid Orders panel, confirm the order information and click Purchase.
      1. Click Go to Buy Page. On the Downgrade page, set EIP Support, Peak TPS, and Queues, read and select Message Queue for RabbitMQ Subscription Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.
      2. On the Purchase page, confirm the order information and click Purchase.
