To use GTM, you must connect a service domain name that is accessed by visitors with the CNAME access domain name of a GTM instance. This allows you to implement disaster recovery and smart access for application services.
A GTM instance is created. GTM is authorized to access cloud resources. An access policy is configured. Basic settings are configured for the instance.
If you use an Alibaba Cloud DNS domain name, you only need to configure a CNAME record in the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
1 . Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.
2 . In the left-side navigation pane, click Global Traffic Manager. On the Global Traffic Manager page, click the required instance. On the Basic Configuration page, click the Basic Configuration tab, and click the Copy icon in the CNAME(Public Network) field.
3 . In the left-side navigation pane, click Manage DNS. On the Manage DNS page, click the Authority Domains tab, and click the required domain name. Click Configure in the Actions column of the domain name to go to the DNS Settings page.
4 . On the DNS Settings page, add a CNAME record. Connect the domain name that points to an application service with the CNAME access domain name of a GTM instance. This allows you to connect the application service to GTM.
