Before you connect to an ApsaraDB for Lindorm (Lindorm) cluster, obtain the cluster endpoint, username, and password in the Lindorm console.
Wide Table SQL is activated. For information about how to activate Wide Table SQL, see Activate Wide Table SQL.
You can connect to a Lindorm cluster over the Internet or a virtual private cloud (VPC). You can obtain the internal endpoint of a Lindorm cluster in the Lindorm console. If you want to obtain the public endpoint of a Lindorm cluster, enable Internet access for the cluster.
Before you connect to a Lindorm cluster from a database over the Internet or a VPC, add the IP address of the database to the whitelist. This ensures data security. For more information, see Configure IP address whitelists and security groups.
Username and password
Lindorm provides a built-in security system that enables user authentication and access control lists (ACLs). For more information, see Manage roles and ACLs.
After you create a Lindorm cluster, a superuser account is created. The account has all the permissions on the Lindorm cluster. By default, the username and the password are root. You can use this account to connect to the Lindorm cluster. You can also create or delete an account, or modify the password of the root user in the security system. For more information, see Manage users.
If you do not want to provide the username and the password when you connect to the cluster, disable the ACL feature in the security system. For more information, see Manage users.
