Manage a tag

This topic describes how to attach, view, modify, and delete a tag in the Apsara File Storage NAS console. This topic also describes how to filter file systems by tag. NAS provides the tagging feature. This feature allows you to manage file systems by business, purpose, and owner.

Limits

  • Quantitative limits

    You can attach a maximum of 20 tags to a file system.

  • Tag key limits

    When multiple tags are attached to a file system, each tag key must be unique.

  • Regional limits

    The tags of each region are independent. For example, the tags that are created in the China (Hangzhou) region are unavailable in the China (Shanghai) region.

Attach a tag

To attach a tag to a file system, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. On the File System List page, find the file system and move your pointer over the tag001icon in the Tags column. In the hover box that appears, click Add.

  4. In the Edit tag dialog box, set the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Tag key

    A tag key must be 1 to 128 characters in length.

    Tag keys cannot start with aliyun or acs: and cannot contain http:// or https://.

    Tag value

    A tag value can be a maximum of 128 characters in length.

    Tag values cannot contain http:// or https://.

  5. Click Confirm.

View the tag

To view the tag, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. On the File System List page, find the file system and move your pointer over thetag001icon in the Tags column. In the hover box that appears, you can view the tag that is attached to the file system.

Note

You can also view the tag in the Basic Information section of the details page.

Modify the tag

To modify the tag, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. On the File System List page, find the file system and move your pointer over thetag001icon in the Tags column. In the hover box that appears, click Edit.

  4. In the Edit tag dialog box, modify the tag that is attached to the file system and click Confirm.

Note

You can also modify the tag in the Basic Information section of the details page. Click Edit next to the tag.

Delete the tag

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. On the File System List page, find the file system and move your pointer over thetag001 icon in the Tags column. In the hover box that appears, click Edit.

  4. In the Edit tag dialog box, click the 123 icon and click Confirm.

Filter file systems by tag

To filter file systems by tag, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the NAS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose File System > File System List.

  3. On the File System List page, click Tag filtering, select the tag key, and then click Search. The file systems that have the tag are displayed.
