This topic describes how to set alert rules for leased lines, bandwidth plans, and cross-region bandwidth of your Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) instances based on the Cloud Monitor service provided by Alibaba Cloud. This allows you to monitor the usage of resources and avoid service disruption caused by resource quota exhaustion.

Set alert rules for a leased line

To set alert rules for a leased line that has health checks configured, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the CEN console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Health Check.
  3. Select the region of the virtual border router (VBR) to which the physical connection is established and click Set Alarm in the Monitor column.
  4. On the Create Alarm Rule page, configure alert rules and click Confirm.
You can create alert rules based on your business requirements. Supported parameters are: latency, packet loss rate, inbound bandwidth, and outbound bandwidth. You can specify a threshold value that triggers the alert based on your business requirements. For more information, see Create a threshold-triggered alert rule.Create alert rules for physical connections

Set alert rules for a bandwidth plan

To set alert rules for the bandwidth plan of a CEN instance, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the CEN console.
  2. On the Instances page, find the CEN instance that is associated with the bandwidth plan to be queried. Click the ID of the CEN instance. On the CEN details page, click the Bandwidth Plans tab and find the bandwidth plan that you want to manage.
  3. Click Set Alarm in the Monitor column.
  4. On the Create Alert Rule page, configure alert rules and click Confirm.
You can create alert rules for a bandwidth plan based on your business requirements. For example, you can specify Area Internet Out Rate and Area Internet Out Rate Percent as alert rules. In addition, you can set a threshold value that triggers alerts. For more information, see Create a threshold-triggered alert rule.Monitor a bandwidth plan

Set alert rules for the cross-region bandwidth

To set alert rules for the cross-region bandwidth, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the CEN console.
  2. On the Instances page, find the CEN instance that you want to manage and click its ID.
  3. On the CEN details page, find the region where you want to monitor the bandwidth usage and click the ID of the transit router in this region.
  4. On the details page of the transit router, click the Cross-region Connections tab.
  5. Find the region where you want to monitor the bandwidth usage and click Set Alarm in the Monitor column.
  6. On the Create Alert Rule page, configure alert rules and click Confirm.
You can configure alert rules based on your business requirements. For example, you can specify the outbound bandwidth, outbound bandwidth rate, and packet loss rate during throttling in a region as alert rules. In addition, you can specify a threshold value that triggers alerts. For more information, see Create a threshold-triggered alert rule.Monitor the bandwidth of a cross-region connection
