This topic describes how to test network connectivity. After you attach network instances to a Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) instance and complete interconnection configurations, you can run the ping command to test network connectivity between the network instances.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure that the following requirements are met:

Background information

Two Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances deployed in China (Hangzhou) and China (Shanghai) are used in this example.
Parameter ECS 1 ECS 2
Private IP address 192.XX.XX.41 192.XX.XX.60
Region China (Shanghai) China (Hangzhou)

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ECS 2.
  2. Run the ping command to ping the private IP address of ECS 1. This command checks whether ECS 1 can communicate with ECS 2.
