If you no longer need to receive alert notifications that are generated based on an alert rule, you can disable the alert rule. After you enable the alert rule again, Cloud Monitor resumes sending alert notifications based on the alert rule.

Disable a threshold-triggered alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
  3. On the Threshold Value Alert tab of the Alert Rules page, find the alert rule that you want to disable and click Disable in the Actions column.
    Note You can select multiple alert rules and click Disable in the lower-left corner to disable them at a time.
  4. In the Disable Alert Rule message, click OK.

Disable a custom event-triggered alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
  3. On the Threshold Value Alert tab of the Alert Rules page, find the alert rule that you want to disable and click Disable in the Actions column.
    Note You can select multiple alert rules and click Disable in the lower-left corner to disable them at a time.
  4. In the Disable Alert Rule message, click OK.

Disable a system event-triggered alert rule

  1. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alerts > Alert Rules.
  3. On the Alert Rules page, click the Event Alert tab.
  4. On the Event Alert tab, find the alert rule that you want to disable and click Disable in the Actions column.
    Note You can select multiple alert rules and click Disable in the lower-left corner to disable them at a time.
  5. In the Disable Alert Rule message, click OK.
