This topic describes how to manage overdue payments of virtual border routers (VBRs) or VBRs that are about to expire. You can manually or automatically renew the VBRs, or disable auto renewal if you no longer need these VBRs.

Manually renew a VBR

  1. Log on to the Express Connect console.
  2. In the top menu bar, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Virtual Border Routers (VBRs), or click Virtual Border Routers (VBRs).
    Note
    • Expired VBRs must be manually renewed before auto renewal can be enabled for them.
    • You can manually renew the VBRs within subscription duration or enable auto renewal.
    • You can disable auto renewal for VBRs that you no longer need.
  4. On the Manual tab of the Virtual Border Routers (VBRs) page, find the VBRs that you want to manually renew, and click Renew in the Actions column.
  5. On the Renew Confirm page, select a renewal duration, click Pay to pay for the order.
  6. On the Pay page, click Purchase and complete the payment.

Enable auto renewal

You can enable auto renewal for your VBRs that are created in Express Connect.

  1. On the Manual tab of the Virtual Border Routers (VBRs) page, find the VBRs for which you want to enable auto renewal, and click Auto Renewal in the Actions column.
  2. On the Enable Auto Renewalpage, set the auto renewal cycle in the Auto Renewal Cycle box and click Auto Renew.
    Note After you enable auto renewal, the system automatically deducts fees from your account nine days before the expiration date. Make sure that you have a sufficient balance in your account.
  3. Return to the Virtual Border Routers (VBRs) page, and go to the Auto tab to find VBRs for which auto renewal is enabled.

You can change the auto renewal cycle as needed.

  1. On the Auto tab of the Virtual Border Routers (VBRs) page, find the VBRs that you want to modify, and click Edit Auto Renewal in the Actions column.
  2. On the Edit Auto Renewal page, click Edit Auto Renewal and select a cycle as needed.
  3. Click OK.
    Note VBRs that have auto renewal disabled has been canceled must be renewed manually.

Cancel subscription renewal

You can cancel subscription renewal for VBRs that you no longer need in Express Connect.

  1. On the Manual tab of the Virtual Border Routers (VBRs) page, find the VBRs for which you want to cancel subscription renewal, and click Nonrenewal in the Actions column to cancel the renewal.
  2. In the Set as Nonrenewal message, click OK.
  3. Return to the Virtual Border Routers (VBRs) page, and click the Nonrenewal tab to check the VBRs that have subscription renewal canceled.

Restore subscription renewal

You can restore subscription renewal for VBRs that have subscription renewal canceled.

  1. On the Nonrenewal tab of the Virtual Border Routers (VBRs) page, find the VBRs for which you want to restore subscription renewal, and click Renew, Enable Auto Renewal or Enable Manual Renewal in the Actions column.
  2. Perform the preceding steps to renew a VBR or enable auto renewal.
    Note
    • Subscription VBRs are automatically suspended and then released by the system if they are not renewed upon expiration. The suspension and the release do not affect the order amount.
    • To avoid unexpected suspensions and releases, we recommend you enable auto renewal for your VBRs that you need for long-term services. In addition, make sure that you have a sufficient balance in your account to avoid .auto renewal failures.
