To connect to a PolarDB cluster, you must use an endpoint of the PolarDB cluster. PolarDB supports cluster endpoints and the primary endpoint. For each type of endpoint, you can apply for a virtual private cloud (VPC)-facing endpoint or a public-facing endpoint to connect to the cluster. This topic describes how to modify or delete an endpoint of the PolarDB cluster in the console.

Modify an endpoint and port number

  1. Log on to the PolarDB console.
  2. In the upper-left corner of the console, select the region where the cluster is deployed.
  3. Find the cluster and click the cluster ID.
  4. In the Endpoints section of the Overview page, you can modify an endpoint and port number by using the following methods:
    • Method 1
      1. Click the Switch views icon in the upper-right corner of the Endpoints section to switch views.
      2. Find the endpoint that you want to modify and click Modify. 1
    • Method 2:
      1. Click Modify on the right of the cluster endpoint.
      2. In the dialog box that appears, choose More > Modify in the Network Information section. 2
  5. In the dialog box that appears, modify the prefix and port number for the endpoint.
    Notice
    • The prefix of the endpoint must meet the following requirements:
      • It must be 6 to 30 characters in length, and can contain lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-).
      • It must start with a letter and end with a digit or a letter.
    • The port number ranges from 3000 to 3500.
    • If SSL is enabled for the endpoint, the cluster is restarted after you modify the endpoint.
    • If SSL is enabled for the endpoint, the new endpoint cannot exceed 64 characters in length.
  6. Click OK.

Delete an endpoint

Warning
  • Before you delete an endpoint, make sure that your application is connected to the cluster through a new endpoint.
  • The deleted endpoint cannot be recovered. You can click Apply to apply for a new endpoint. For more information, see Apply for an endpoint.
