Overview

This topic describes the Public DNS page and the Overview tab on this page. You can use Alibaba Cloud Public DNS Commercial Edition on this page in the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

Public DNS page

The Public DNS page consists of the following tabs:

  • Overview: displays the overall information about the service use of the current Alibaba Cloud account.

  • Domain Names: lists the domain names and subdomain names that are resolved within a specified time range and displays the number of DNS requests for each domain name or subdomain name.

  • Free Trial: allows you to try DNS resolution by using HTTP for free.

  • Billing Data: allows you to view the number of DNS requests and bills.

  • More: allows you to use more features, such as service authentication, service access, and log query.

Overall information

The overall information consists of two parts.

Part 1: the left-side Accesses from 30 Days section

  • Account ID: the unique ID that is generated for and bound to the current Alibaba Cloud account.

  • HTTP Requests: the number of DNS requests over HTTP in the last 30 days. The number is the total number of IPv4-based requests and IPv6-based requests.

  • HTTPS Requests (DoT/DoH Included): the number of DNS requests over HTTPS, DNS over HTTPS (DoH), and DNS over TLS (DoT) in the last 30 days. The number is the total number of IPv4-based requests and IPv6-based requests.

  • Domain Names: the number of domain names that were accessed in the last 30 days.

Part 2: the Requests section

This section displays the number of DNS requests that were sent to Public DNS in the last 90 days at most. You can view the number of DNS requests over HTTP, HTTPS as needed.

Requests section

You can view the active domain names and subdomain names in the lower part. The rankings of domain names and subdomain names are based on the total number of DNS requests. The total number of DNS requests refers to the sum of DNS requests over HTTP, HTTPS. DNS requests over HTTPS include those over DoH and DoT. You can click More to open the All Rankings panel. This panel displays the top 100 active domain names or subdomain names. It also provides the details of IPv4-based requests and IPv6-based requests.
