Resource Orchestration Service:Use a template to create a stack

This topic describes how to use an existing template to create a stack in the Resource Orchestration Service (ROS) console.

Prerequisites

A template is created. For more information about how to create a template, see Create a template.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ROS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Templates > My Templates.

  3. On the My Templates page, find the template that you want to use and click Create Stack in the Actions column.

  4. In the Configure Parameters step, specify the Stack Name parameter.

  5. In the Configure Stack Settings section, configure the stack settings. Then, click Next.

    For more information about how to configure the stack settings, see Create a stack.

  6. In the Compliance Precheck step, complete the compliance precheck and click Next.

    Note

    The compliance precheck feature is available only for specific resources. For more information, see Compliance precheck of ROS.

    1. In the Evaluate Rules section, add compliance rules.

      You can add compliance rules based on the cloud resources in the ROS template.

    2. Click Evaluate.

      You can modify the template content based on the suggestions that are provided to remediate invalid resources to ensure the compliance of the resources.

  7. In the Check and Confirm step, click Create.
