Access the data visualization feature

This topic describes three methods for accessing the data visualization feature.

Method 1

  1. Log on to the DMS console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, choose Data Factory > Data Visualization.

Method 2

  1. Log on to the DMS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, right-click the target database and select Login instance.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, set Database Account and Database Password and click OK.

    You can also log on to the target database in the ApsaraDB for RDS console.

  4. After you log on to the target database, in the SQLConsole, click Go to Data Visualization.

    This method directs you to the page where you can create a dataset.

    • The current target database in the SQLConsole is automatically specified as the default database for the new dataset.
    • A random name is generated for the dataset. You can modify the dataset name as needed.

Method 3

  1. Log on to the DMS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, right-click the target database and select Login instance.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, set Database Account and Database Password and click OK.

    You can also log on to the target database in the ApsaraDB for RDS console.

  4. After you log on to the target database, execute an SQL statement in the SQLConsole to query data. After results are returned, click Data Visualization-New on the top of the Execution Results tab.

    This method directs you to the page where you can create a dataset.

    • The current target database in the SQLConsole and the SQL statement you just executed are used as input parameters to create the dataset.
    • A random name is generated for the dataset. You can modify the dataset name as needed.
