This topic describes how to delete an event rule in the EventBridge console.

Delete an event rule of the system event bus

To delete an event rule of the system event bus, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the EventBridge console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click System Event Bus.
  3. In the top navigation bar, select a region.
  4. On the Rules page, find the required rule, click More in the Operations column, and then select Delete.
  5. In the Note message, click OK.
  6. In the Verify Account Security dialog box, click Get Verification Code, enter the verification code in the Verification Code field, and then click OK.

Delete an event rule of a custom event bus

To delete an event rule of a custom event bus, perform the following steps:

  1. Log on to the EventBridge console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Custom Event Buses.
  3. In the top navigation bar, select a region.
  4. On the Custom Event Buses page, find the required event bus and click Rules in the Operations column.
  5. On the Rules page, find the required rule, click More in the Operations column, and then select Delete.
  6. In the Note message, click OK.
  7. In the Verify Account Security dialog box, click Get Verification Code, enter the verification code in the Verification Code field, and then click OK.
