This topic describes monitoring metrics that apply only to Express Connect peering connections and virtual border routers (VBRs).

View monitoring information

To view monitoring information about Express Connect in the Cloud Monitor console, perform the following operations:

  1. Log on to the Express Connect console.
  2. Log on to the Cloud Monitor console.
    • In the left-side navigation pane, choose VPC Peering Connections > VPC-to-VPC or VPC Peering Connections > VBR-to-VPC. On the VPC-to-VPC or VBR-to-VPC page, click the Monitoring icon in the Monitor column that corresponds to the VBR.
    • In the left-side navigation pane, click Virtual Border Routers (VBRs). On the page that appears, click the VBR Monitoring icon in the Monitor column that corresponds to the VBR.
  3. Choose Set Alert Threshold > Alert Rules > Create Alert Rule.
  4. On the Create Alert Rule page, configure the alert rule.
Figure 1. Configure the alert rule
Note Make sure that you have configured health checks in the Cloud Enterprise Network (CEN) or Express Connect console.
  5. Click OK.

VBR

Metric Description Metric state
BytesOutFromVpcToIDC Network data that is transmitted from the virtual private cloud (VPC) to the data center.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: Byte.

Active
PkgsRateLimitDropOutFromVpcToVbr The average number of dropped packets when data is transmitted from the VPC to the VBR.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: pps.

Active
RateOutFromVpcToIDC The average data transmission rate from the VPC to the data center.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: bit/s.

Active
RateInFromIDCToVpc The average data transmission rate from the data center to the VPC.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: bit/s.

Active
PkgsOutFromVpcToIDC The average number of data packets that are transmitted from the VPC to the data center.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: pps.

Active
PkgsInFromIDCToVpc The average number of data packets that are transmitted from the data center to the VPC.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: pps.

Active
VbrHealthyCheckLatency The average latency of health checks.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: μs.

This metric takes effect after the health check feature is enabled.
  • If the physical connection fails, the latency is 0 μs.
  • If the physical connection is available, the latency is not 0 μs.
VbrHealthyCheckLossRate The average packet loss of health checks.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

This metric takes effect when the health check feature is enabled.
  • If the physical connection fails, the packet loss is 100%.
  • If the physical connection is available, the packet loss is 0%.

Peering connection

Metric Description Metric state
IntranetRX Network data that is transmitted from the peer.

Data is collected every 60 seconds. Only incremental data is calculated.

Unit: Byte.

Active
IntranetTX Network data that is transmitted to the peer.

Data is collected every 60 seconds. Only incremental data is calculated.

Unit: Byte.

Active
ReceiveBandwidth The average bandwidth used to transmit data from the peer.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: bit/s.

Active
TransportedBandwidth The average bandwidth used to transmit data to the peer.

Data is collected every 60 seconds.

Unit: bit/s.
