The time series padding function pads data points that are missing in a time series.

  • Function expressions
select series_padding(long stamp, double value, long interval, varchar padType)
  • Input parameters
    Parameter Description
stamp The Unix timestamp of the data.
value The numeric data that corresponds to each specified time point.
interval The interval at which data is collected. For example, if data is collected every 10 seconds, the interval is 10.
padType The type of padded data points. Valid values: zero, mean, forward, and backward.
    • zero: pads 0.
    • mean: pads the average of the valid value on either side of a missing data point.
    • forward: pads the valid value on the left of a missing point.
    • backward: pads the valid value on the right of a missing point.
