Runtime environment

ADAM Studio supports standalone and distributed modes. The requirements for the runtime environment are as follows:

  1. System: CentOS 6.5 or later.
  2. Specifications: 8C16G+. You can choose a higher configuration based on the specifications of an Oracle database.
  3. Network: The machines where ADAM Studio and Worker are deployed must have access to source Oracle databases and destination databases such as PPAS and MySQL. You can grant the access by configuring a whitelist and allowing traffic on specific ports. If you are using the Alibaba Cloud public cloud, make sure that the corresponding machines are located within the same zone of the same region to shorten network latency.
  4. Disk: The disk size must be at least 30 GB. It is only used to install basic components of ADAM Studio and store operational logs.
  5. MySQL database: We recommend that you create an ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL 5.7 instance.

Configure a MySQL database

## Open the configuration file.
vi adam-release/config/adam.properties
##1. Configure a database.
# Set the MySQL address, port, and database name.
jdbc.url=jdbc:mysql://IP address:3306/studio
# Set the MySQL username.
jdbc.username=adam
# Set the MySQL password.
jdbc.password=adam
## 2. Configure the license.
# You must apply for a license first. After the license file is downloaded, set values of the following items. Note that spaces or line breaks are not allowed.
license.uid=
license.license=

You must install a MySQL database on you own. We recommend that you use MySQL Community Server 5.7. We recommend that you set max_allowed_packet to 512M and max_binlog_cache_size to 1G.
