You can renew a subscription cluster to extend the subscription. The fees generated after renewals are charged the same way as a newly purchased cluster. Pay-as-you-go clusters are billed based on the actual usage and do not expire. You do not need to renew pay-as-you-go clusters. You need only to make sure that you have sufficient balance in your Alibaba Cloud account.

Note To prevent service interruptions caused when a subscription cluster expires and is not renewed within the specified period of time, we recommend that you enable auto-renewal.

Precautions

  • If you manually renew the subscription of a cluster before the automatic deduction, the system automatically renews the subscription of the cluster next time before the cluster expires.
  • After you enable auto-renewal, the configuration takes effect the next day. If your cluster expires the next day, you must manually renew the subscription of the cluster to prevent service interruptions.

Enable auto-renewal when you create a subscription cluster

When you purchase a subscription cluster, you can select Auto-renewal.

Note Pay-as-you-go clusters do not expire. You do not need to renew pay-as-you-go clusters. After you enable auto-renewal for a subscription cluster, the system automatically renews the cluster based on the selected renewal cycle. For example, if you select a three-month renewal cycle, you are charged for a three-month subscription in each renewal cycle.
