DSW permission management

1. Log on to the Resource Access Management (RAM) console.

Use your Alibaba Cloud account to log on to the RAM console at

In the left-side navigation pane, choose Policies under Permissions, and then click Create Policy.


2. Create a custom policy.

On the Create Custom Policy page, enter a policy name, and then select Script.


Paste the following script to the policy document:

  • Action, Add the following permissions as needed:
Permission Description
notebook:CreateInstance The permission to create DSW instances.
notebook:StartInstance, The permission to start DSW instances.
notebook:StopInstance, The permission to stop DSW instances.
notebook:EditInstance” The permission to edit DSW instances.
notebook:ListInstance The permission to query all DSW instances.

    • instance permissions under certain region

    • certain instance permissions(instance name:hhdemo)

3. Authorize your RAM user account.


In the left-side navigation pane, choose Users under Identities, select your RAM user account, click Add Permissions in the Actions column, select the created custom policy, and then click OK.
