Before you use an Alibaba Cloud service, we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the considerations and limitations of the service. This topic describes the considerations and limitations of Global Accelerator (GA) instances.
Limits on instance types
The following table describes the limitations of standard GA instances and basic GA instances.
You can select the instance specification and the type of accelerated IP address only when you create a subscription standard GA instance.
Pay-as-you-go GA instances support only the pay-by-data-transfer bandwidth metering method.
If you want to use Anycast elastic IP addresses (Anycast EIPs) as accelerated IP addresses, the GA instances and basic bandwidth plans must meet the following requirements:
GA instances: You must select subscription standard GA instances whose specifications are Large Ⅰ or higher and whose bandwidth metering methods are pay-by-bandwidth.
Basic bandwidth plans: You must select the premium bandwidth type and the pay-by-data-transfer metering method.
You can associate only subscription basic bandwidth plans that provide basic or premium bandwidth with basic GA instances that use the pay-by-bandwidth bandwidth metering method.
GA instances whose specifications are Large III or higher are unavailable by default. To use these instances, contact your account manager.
By default, you cannot use Anycast EIPs as accelerated IP addresses. To use Anycast EIPs as accelerated IP addresses, go to the Quota Center console, find the quota named GA supports anycast, and then click Apply in the Actions column. For more information, see the "Adjust quotas" section of the Manage GA quotas topic.
By default, pay-as-you-go basic bandwidth plans are unavailable. To use these plans, contact your account manager.
