Quick BI:Publish a Dashboard

Last Updated:Jan 25, 2024

This topic describes how to save, save and publish, restore, unpublish, and republish a dashboard.

Prerequisites

You are logged on to the Quick BI console and a dashboard is created. For more information, see Overview.

Context

Dashboards are automatically published after they are saved. If a developer modifies and saves a dashboard when other users are using the dashboard, the changes may not be in effect. To improve user experience, the save feature is separated from the publish feature, and the unpublish and republish features are added.

Save a dashboard

The save feature only saves the results of the current operations. The updates are not published.

When you save a dashboard, the updates to the dashboard are invisible to users.

  • When you create a dashboard, the dashboard is in the Unpublished state after you click Save. You can click Save and Publish to publish the dashboard.

  • After you modify a published dashboard, you can click Republish to publish the updates.

  2. In the message that appears, click OK.

After you modify a published dashboard, you can publish it to make the updates take effect. If "To Be Updated" is displayed on the dashboard editing page and the dashboard is in the Saved But Unpublished state, you can republish the dashboard. To Be Updated message
