You can subscribe to notifications for snapshot creation events.

Snapshot creation

After a snapshot is created for a disk, ECS sends you a notification to indicate whether the operation succeeded. Example:

  • accomplished: Snapshot creation succeeded.
  • failed: Snapshot creation failed.

Note ECS does not send notifications for snapshots created automatically. In this case, you can log on to the ECS console or call the DescribeSnapshots operation to check whether the snapshot is created.
