Elastic Compute Service:Search for resources

Last Updated:Jan 25, 2024

You can use the Global Search feature to search for specific Elastic Compute Service (ECS) resources and documents in your account and manage the resources. You can quickly search for resources, find Alibaba Cloud help documents (such as User Guide or API documents), trigger management operations on cloud resources (such as connections to instances), go to the pages of specific features (such as the Cloud Assistant page), and favorite frequently used resources or menus.

Background information

The Global Search feature supports the following features:

  • Fast resource search: You can search for one or more instances, disks, snapshots, images, security groups, and elastic network interfaces (ENIs).

  • Push-button operation invocation: You can perform cloud resource management operations with one click. For example, you can start an instance, connect to the instance, or replace the operating system of an instance.

  • Direct menu access: You can quickly access the pages of services or features by searching for menus. For example, you can quickly go to the Cloud Assistant page.

  • Fast document search: You can enter keywords to quickly access detailed Alibaba Cloud documents. For example, you can enter Start Instance to search for the User Guide topic about how to start an instance (Start an instance) and the corresponding API document (StartInstance).
