This topic describes how to configure IPv6 in the Alibaba Cloud CDN console. After you enable IPv6, clients can send requests to CDN edge nodes over IPv6. Requests that are redirected to origin servers also carry the IPv6 information about the clients.

Background information

Most of the CDN edge nodes support IPv6. After IPv6 is enabled, IPv6-capable clients can send requests to IPv6-capable edge nodes over IPv6. If the nearest CDN edge nodes do not support IPv6, the clients can send IPv4 requests to the CDN edge nodes.
Note CDN edge nodes that are deployed in regions outside mainland China, including China (Hong Kong), China (Macao), and China (Taiwan), do not support IPv6.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud CDN console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Domain Names.
  3. On the Domain Names page, find the domain name that you want to manage and click Manage in the Actions column of the domain name.
  4. On the Basics tab, find the IPv6 section.
  5. Turn on IPv6.
