This topic provides an overview of the two billing methods supported by ApsaraDB for Cassandra, which are pay-as-you-go billing and subscription billing. Subscription billing is more cost-effective than pay-as-you-go billing. We recommend that you choose subscription billing for long-term use.
Pay-as-you-go billing is suitable for testing. After you determine the configuration required for your business, you can change the billing method from pay-as-you-go to subscription in the ApsaraDB for Cassandra console.
Take note of the following:
- Your ApsaraDB for Cassandra instance is charged based on the storage capacity you choose when you create the instance. For example, if you create an instance with a storage capacity of 2 GB, you must pay for 2 GB of storage even if you only store 256 MB of data.
- The internal traffic you consume is free of charge. Therefore, you are not charged for the data transmission between an ECS instance and an ApsaraDB for Cassandra instance.
- If you want to store a large volume of data, contact us to receive discounts.
