CloudOps Orchestration Service (OOS) automatically manages and executes O&M tasks. You can define items, such as O&M tasks, execution processes, and inputs and outputs of executions, in templates and then execute the templates to automate O&M.
Scenarios
The following table describes the scenarios for which OOS is suitable.
Scenario | Description |
Scheduled and batch O&M tasks | To check the available storage space of cloud disks on multiple ECS instances at the same time, you can use OOS to select the ECS instances by instance name, tag group, or resource group and then run Cloud Assistant commands to check the cloud disks and view all check results at once. |
Event-driven O&M tasks | When the vCPU utilization of an ECS instance reaches 85%, you can use OOS to automatically restart the instance to prevent service interruptions. |
Cross-region O&M tasks | You can copy multiple ECS instances from one region to another by using the image copy feature. |
O&M tasks subject to approval | You can add an approval process for purchasing or releasing ECS instances. |
OOS is a platform that standardizes O&M tasks. You can create templates from manuals, such as Operations and Maintenance Guides, User Guide, and Operation Guides, to perform operations as code.
Benefits
OOS improves the efficiency and security of O&M tasks by offering the following benefits:
