If your website is hosted on an Alibaba Cloud instance located in mainland China and uses Alibaba Cloud Content Delivery Network (CDN) to accelerate content delivery, you need to configure a domain name for CDN. If the acceleration area of the domain name for CDN is mainland China or global, you must apply for Internet Content Provider (ICP) filing for your domain name for CDN. Note Since you have applied for ICP filing for the website domain name www.example.com, you do not need to apply for ICP filing for its sub-domain names. We recommend that you use a sub-domain name as the domain name for CDN, for example, video.example.com or *.example.com.

When you use Alibaba Cloud CDN to accelerate content delivery in mainland China or global regions, the domain name must acquire an ICP number from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). You are not required to add Alibaba Cloud to the ICP filing information as a service provider.
