AnalyticDB for MySQL:Use DataWorks to import data

Last Updated:Mar 12, 2024

DataWorks provides a visual data import method. Compared with external tables, DataWorks is more suitable when only a small amount of data needs to be imported. This topic describes how to use DataWorks to import data from ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL to AnalyticDB for MySQL Data Lakehouse Edition (V3.0) or Data Warehouse Edition (V3.0).

Prerequisites

  • An exclusive resource group for Data Integration that meets your business requirements is purchased. For more information, see Create and use an exclusive resource group for Data Integration.

  • Network connections between the exclusive resource group for Data Integration and data sources are established. For more information, see Establish a network connection between a resource group and a data source.

  • The data source environments are prepared. Before you configure a synchronization task, you must create an account that can be used to access a database and grant the account the permissions required to perform specific operations on the database based on your configurations for data synchronization. For more information, see Overview.

Procedure

  1. Add an ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL data source. For more information, see Add a MySQL data source.

  2. Add an AnalyticDB for MySQL data source. For more information, see Add an AnalyticDB for MySQL 3.0 data source.

  3. Configure a data synchronization job. For more information, see Configure a synchronization task in Data Integration.
