When events are pending for processing in PolarDB , you are notified to handle the events in the console.
Prerequisites
Operations and maintenance (O&M) events are pending for processing.
Note If you have pending O&M events, you can find notification badges for Pending Events in the left-side navigation pane of the PolarDB console.

Background information
For PolarDB O&M events, you are notified by text messages, phone calls, emails, or internal messages.
You are also notified in the console. PolarDB O&M events include database software
upgrade events and hardware maintenance and upgrade events. You can view the details
of each event, including the event type, task ID, cluster name, and switch time. You
can also change the switch time.
Change switch time
- Log on PolarDB console.
- On the top of the page, select the region where the target cluster is located.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click Pending Events.
Note For an O&M event for which you must reserve the switch time, a dialog box appears
to prompt you to complete the reservation in time.
- On the Pending Events page, click a tab for the type of the events that you want to handle.

Note The notification that appears on each tab, including the event process and precautions,
varies based on event types.
- View event details in the event list. To change the switch time of the event, select
the related cluster and then click Modify Switch Time.
- In the dialog box that appears, specify Switch Time and then click Confirm.
Note The value of the Switch Time parameter cannot be later than the value of the Start Deadline parameter.
Event history
In the PolarDB console, you can view completed events.
- Log on PolarDB console.
- On the top of the page, select the region where the target cluster is located.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click Event History.

- On the Event History page, click a tab for the type of the events that you want to view. On the tab, view
the details about the historical events, such as the cluster name and the switch time
of the events.
