Debug an elastic container instance

This topic describes how to connect to containers in an elastic container instance by using the Elastic Container Instance console and how to run commands to debug the containers.

Prerequisites

Containers in the elastic container instance are in the Running state.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Elastic Container Instance console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

  3. On the Container Group page, find the instance to be debugged and click its ID.

  4. On the page that appears, click the Terminal tab.

  5. Select a container from the drop-down list and run a command to debug the container.

    1. Select the container that you want to debug.

    2. Select the /bin/sh command.

      In addition to common commands such as /bin/sh and /bin/bash, you can also select Custom Command and enter custom command content. Example: /sbin/nologin.

    3. Click Terminal.

      After the container is connected, the interface of the container is displayed in the lower part of the page.

    4. Enter and run your command.
