DataWorks provides resource plans of shared resource groups for scheduling and shared resource groups for Data Integration. You can use these resource plans to lower your costs.

Usage notes

  • The system sends you a notification if you have an overdue payment. In this case, you must complete the overdue payment at the earliest opportunity to avoid service suspension.

If you have other questions, submit a ticket.

  • Resource plans do not support the renewal feature. Pay attention to the expiration date and expiration notifications sent by text messages or emails for the resource plan, and purchase it again before it expires. Otherwise, a fee is deducted from your account balance on a pay-as-you-go basis after the resource plan expires. This increases your business costs.

Pricing for resource plans of shared resource groups for scheduling

If your number of instances that are scheduled each day reaches a specific level and you can maintain steady growth but existing shared resource groups for scheduling cannot give you the lowest costs, you can consider purchasing a resource plan of shared resource groups for scheduling to support the running of scheduled instances.

  • Billing range

After nodes are committed to the scheduling system, all the generated instances are billed. The instances include auto triggered node instances, manually triggered node instances, test instances, and retroactive instances.

  • Billing standards
    Region Billing standard Description
China (Shanghai), China (Hangzhou), China (Beijing), China (Shenzhen), and China (Hong Kong) Resource plan quota 1,500,000 instances/month
    Duration Starting from six months
    Quantity Starting from 1
Price per resource plan USD 14,790/six months

    USD 29,580/year

US (Silicon Valley), US (Virginia), Singapore, Australia (Sydney), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Indonesia (Jakarta), India (Mumbai), Japan (Tokyo), Germany (Frankfurt), UK (London), and UAE (Dubai) Resource plan quota 1,500,000 instances/month
    Duration Starting from six months
    Quantity Starting from 1
Price per resource plan USD 21,378/six months

    USD 42,756/year

Note Instances that are run in the current month consume only the instance quota of resource plans for the same month. The monthly instance quota of a single resource plan is 1,500,000 instances. The instance quota is restored at the start of the next month. The unused quota does not roll over to the next month.
    • Example 1: If you purchase a six-month resource plan and only use 1,200,000 instances in the first month, you have a remaining quota of 300,000 instances for this month. If you do not use these instances by the end of the first month, the remaining quota from the first month does not roll over to the second month, and the instance quota for the second month is still 1,500,000 instances.
    • Example 2: If you purchase a six-month resource plan, your quota for the first month is 1,500,000 instances. Instances in excess of the quota are billed based on the billing standards of shared resource groups for scheduling.

Pricing for resource plans of shared resource groups for Data Integration

If your number of concurrent threads that are run each day reaches a specific level and you can maintain steady growth but existing shared resource groups for Data Integration cannot give you the lowest costs, you can consider purchasing a resource plan of shared resource groups for Data Integration to support the running of data integration nodes.

  • Billing range

You are charged for the concurrent threads that are used to run data integration node instances when they are generated and run as auto triggered node instances, retroactive instances, manually triggered node instances, node instances in DataStudio workflows, or smoke test instances.

  • Billing standards
    Region Billing standard Description
China (Shanghai), China (Hangzhou), China (Beijing), China (Shenzhen), and China (Hong Kong) Resource plan quota 1,500,000 concurrent threads/month
    Duration Starting from six months
    Quantity Starting from 1
Price per resource plan USD 1,044/six months

    USD 2,088/year

US (Silicon Valley), US (Virginia), Singapore, Australia (Sydney), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Indonesia (Jakarta), India (Mumbai), Japan (Tokyo), Germany (Frankfurt), UK (London), and UAE (Dubai) Resource plan quota 1,500,000 concurrent threads/month
    Duration Starting from six months
    Quantity Starting from 1
Price per resource plan USD 1,566/six months

    USD 3,132/year

Note Concurrent threads that are run in a month consume only the concurrent thread quota of resource plans for the same month. The monthly concurrent thread quota of a single resource plan is 1,500,000 concurrent threads. The concurrent thread quota is restored at the start of the next month. The unused quota does not roll over to the next month.
    • Example 1: If you purchase a six-month resource plan and use only 1,200,000 concurrent threads in the first month, you have a remaining quota of 300,000 concurrent threads for this month. If you do not use these threads by the end of the first month, the remaining quota from the first month does not roll over to the second month, and the concurrent thread quota for the second month is still 1,500,000 concurrent threads.
    • Example 2: If you purchase a six-month resource plan, your quota for the first month is 1,500,000 concurrent threads. Concurrent threads in excess of the quota are billed based on the billing standards of shared resource groups for Data Integration.

Deduction

Resource plans are paid for by subscription. You can start to use a resource plan after you pay the full subscription fee for a given service period. After you purchase a resource plan, the number of concurrent threads that are run is first deducted from the concurrent thread quota of the resource plan.

This resource plan includes a quota of concurrent threads that you can use to run data integration node instances. When you run such instances, the subscribed resource plan is used up first.

Expiration

After a resource plan expires, you are given a 15-day grace period. During the 15 days, the remaining quota in the resource plan can still be used to deduct the number of concurrent threads that are billed based on the pay-as-you-go billing method.

After 15 days, the unused quota in the resource plan becomes unavailable. If you still want to use the resources by resource plan, you must purchase another resource plan.
