DataWorks provides three resource plans: shared resource groups for scheduling, shared resource groups for Data Integration, and App Studio workspaces for development environments. You can use these resource plans to lower your costs.
If you have other questions, submit a ticket.
If your number of instances that are scheduled each day reaches a certain level and you can maintain steady growth, you can consider purchasing the resource plans of shared resource groups for scheduling and shared resource groups for Data Integration. This provides you with the best price.
If you need to frequently debug code in App Studio, you can purchase a resource plan of App Studio workspaces for development environments. This provides you with the lowest price per unit of time.
Resource plan of shared resource groups for scheduling
If your number of instances that are scheduled each day reaches a certain level and you can maintain steady growth but existing shared resource groups for scheduling cannot give you the lowest costs, you can consider purchasing a resource plan of shared resource groups for scheduling to support the running of scheduled instances.
- Billing range
After nodes are committed to the scheduling system, all the generated instances are billed. The instances include auto triggered node instances, manually triggered node instances, test instances, and retroactive instances.
- Billing standards
Region Billing standard Description China (Shanghai), China (Hangzhou), China (Beijing), China (Shenzhen), and China (Hong Kong) Resource plan specifications 1,500,000 instances/month Duration Starting from six months Minimum quantity Starting from 1 Price per resource plan USD 14,790/six months USD 29,580/year

Note Instances that are run in a month consume only the instance quota of resource plans for the same month. The monthly instance quota of a single resource plan is 1,500,000 instances. The instance quota is restored at the start of the next month. The unused quota does not roll over to the next month.- Example 1: If you purchase a six-month resource plan and use only 1,200,000 instances in the first month, you have a remaining quota of 300,000 instances for this month. If you do not use these instances by the end of the first month, the remaining quota from the first month does not roll over to the second month, and the instance quota for the second month is still 1,500,000 instances.
- Example 2: If you purchase a six-month resource plan, your quota for the first month is 1,500,000 instances. Instances in excess of the quota are billed based on the billing standards of shared resource groups for scheduling by using the pay-as-you-go billing method.
- Deduction method
Resource plans are paid for by subscription. You can start to use a resource plan after you pay the full subscription fee for a given service period. After you purchase a resource plan, the number of instances that are run is first deducted from the instance quota of the resource plan.
This resource plan includes a quota of instances for scheduling. When you schedule instances, the subscribed resource plan is used up first.
- Expiration
After a resource plan expires, you are given a 15-day grace period. During the 15 days, the remaining quota in the resource plan can still be used to deduct the number of instances that are billed based on the pay-as-you-go billing method.
After 15 days, the unused quota in the resource plan becomes unavailable. If you still want to use the resources by resource plan, you must purchase another resource plan.
Resource plan of shared resource groups for Data Integration
If your number of concurrent threads that are run each day reaches a certain level and you can maintain steady growth but existing shared resource groups for Data Integration cannot give you the lowest costs, you can consider purchasing a resource plan of shared resource groups for Data Integration to support the running of data integration nodes.
- Billing range
The billing system bills you for the concurrent threads that are used to run data integration node instances when they are generated and run as auto triggered node instances, retroactive instances, manually triggered node instances, node instances in DataStudio workflows, or smoke test instances.

Resource plan of App Studio workspaces for development environments
- Billing standards
DataWorks provides a resource plan of App Studio workspaces for development environments for you to debug code in App Studio. The following table lists the billing standards.
Resource plan quota (billable hours) Validity period Price (USD) Region 100 1 year 7 China (Shanghai), China (Hangzhou), China (Shenzhen), and China (Beijing) The following table lists the conversion between the actual debugging time and consumed billable hours for different types of App Studio workspaces for development environments.App Studio workspace for development environments Actual debugging time (hours) Consumed billable hours 1c2g 1 1 2c4g 1 2 4c8g 1 4 8c16g 1 8 - Deduction method
Each resource plan is valid for one year. During this year, the debugging time first consumes billable hours in resource plans.
Note After you purchase a resource plan, the debugging time is first deducted from the quota in the resource plan. When the quota of the resource plan is used up, the monthly free hours are calculated. - Expiration
If the quota of a resource plan is not used up within a year, the remaining quota expires and becomes unavailable.
If the quota of a resource plan is used up before the year ends, the billing system bills you for code debugging based on the billing standards of App Studio workspaces for development environments by using the pay-as-you-go billing method.
