DataWorks provides Basic Edition and four advanced editions: Standard Edition, Professional Edition, Enterprise Edition, and Ultimate Edition. You can choose the edition that is most suitable for your business needs. This topic describes the differences in scenarios and features among DataWorks editions.

Precautions for purchase

  • DataWorks Basic Edition is available free of charge. DataWorks advanced editions support the subscription billing method. For more information, see Overview.
  • Only one DataWorks advanced edition can be purchased in a region at a time. You can purchase another edition in the same region only after the purchased edition expires and is released. You can upgrade a DataWorks advanced edition to a more advanced edition before it expires.
  • If you purchase a DataWorks advanced edition and you do not renew the advanced edition within the grace period after it expires, the advanced edition is downgraded to Basic Edition. For more information about the downgrade rules for specific features of advanced editions, see Feature downgrades of DataWorks advanced editions upon expiration.
