Alibaba Cloud DNS:Manage DNS record groups

Overview

You can manage Domain Name System (DNS) records in groups.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Alibaba Could DNS console.

  1. On the Authoritative Domain Names tab of the Domain Name Resolution page, find the domain name that you want to manage and click DNS Settings in the Actions column.

  1. On the DNS Settings page, click the All Records drop-down list and click the plus (+) icon. Enter a group name and click the tick (√) icon to create the group.image.png

  2. Select multiple DNS records and choose Batch Operations > Change Group below the DNS records to move the selected DNS records to the new group. Then, click OK.image.png

  3. After you move the DNS records to the new group, view the number of DNS records in the new group next to the group name.image.png

  4. Click the group name and view the DNS records in the group.

  5. Click the Edit icon next to the group name to modify the group name. Click the Delete icon next to the group name to delete the group.

Use rules

  • The All Records group is the system group and contains all DNS records added for the selected domain name. You cannot modify or delete the system group.

  • The record group to which a DNS record belongs is not changed after you modify the DNS record.

  • After you delete a record group, the DNS records in the record group are also removed. You can view these DNS records in the All Records group.

  • You can create up to 100 record groups for a domain name.

  • A group name can be up to 20 characters in length.

  • The number of DNS records that can be added to a record group is not limited.

  • You cannot query the logs related to record group management.
