Navicat for MySQL

Last Updated: May 13, 2019

This topic describes how to connect to DLA by using Navicat for MySQL.

Prerequisites

Navicat for MySQL is installed.

Procedure

  1. Start Navicat for MySQL and choose File > New Connection > MySQL. In the New Connection dialog box that appears, configure the parameters. The following table describes the parameters.

    1

    Parameter Description
Connection Name The name of the new connection.
Host Name/IP Address The host IP address that is used to connect to DLA. For more information about how to obtain this address, see View endpoint information.
    • If Navicat for MySQL is installed on an ECS instance that is in the same region as DLA, specify a VPC address for DLA access in this field. Then, Navicat for MySQL connects to DLA through the VPC, which is faster and safer.
    • If Navicat for MySQL needs to connect to DLA over the Internet, specify a classic network address for DLA access in this field.
Port The port number of the host. Set it to 10000.
User Name The root account or sub-account for DLA access.
Password The password of the account for DLA access.
  2. Click Test Connection. After the test succeeds, click OK. A connection to DLA has been established but is inactive. Activate the connection manually.

  3. Right-click the connection name and choose Open Connection from the shortcut menu. Right-click the connection name again and choose Open Database from the shortcut menu to open the connection to DLA. Then, you can use Navicat for MySQL to manage data in DLA.
