- Volume mirroring
This protects each node in a cluster from single point of storage failure.
- Local replication of snapshots, cloned copies, and backups
The latency is less than 1 ms for local replication between two sites in a cluster if the distance between the sites is shorter than 10 km.
- Synchronous remote replication
The latency does not exceed 15 ms for synchronous remote replication between two clusters if the distance between the clusters is shorter than 300 km. This implements site-level data protection with a recovery point objective (RPO) of 0.
- Asynchronous remote replication
Site-level data protection with an RPO greater than 0 is supported if the distance between two sites is longer than 300 km. This usually applies to the standard disaster recovery architecture of three data centers across two zones.
