Alibaba Mail:What can I do if I fail to verify a secure phone number and a security question with two-step verification enabled when logging on to an account from a place different from where I register the account?

Last Updated:Feb 28, 2019
  1. When you log on to a normal account from a place different from where you register the account, you are required to answer a security question or enter an SMS verification code if you enable two-step verification. We recommend that you use an SMS verification when you set both a secure phone number and security questions. When the phone number expires, you can answer security questions for verification. If you have forgotten the answers to your security questions, you need to contact the postmaster to reset your security questions and unbind your secure phone number. You can then log on to your account and reset security questions and set a secure phone number.

  2. When you log on to a postmaster account from a different place, you are also required to answer security questions or enter the SMS verification code if you enabled the secondary verification. We recommend that you use the SMS verification when you set both a secure phone number and security questions. When the phone number expires, you can answer security questions to verify. You can open a ticket in the Alibaba Cloud console. Our personnel will help you reset the account. You can log on to the console to reset your password and security questions.
To ensure the security of your account, we recommend that you set security questions and bind a secure phone number. When an account is no longer used, you can log on to the mailbox using the account to cancel security questions and unbind the secure phone number.
