CloudMonitor sends alert notifications based on alert contacts and alert groups. You must first create an alert contact and an alert group, and then add the alert contact to the alert group. After that, you can specify the alert group to receive alert notifications when you create an alert rule.

Create an alert contact

An alert contact can be added to multiple alert groups. In alert rule configurations, alert notification recipients are alert groups, not alert contacts.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alarms > Alarm Contacts.
  3. On the Alarm Contacts tab of the Alarm Contacts page, click Create Alarm Contact.
  4. In the Set Alarm Contact right-side pane, set the Name, Email ID, and DingTalk Robot parameters.
  5. Click OK.

Create an alert group

An alert group is a group of one or more alert contacts. In alert rule configurations, alert notification recipients are alert groups, not alert contacts.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alarms > Alarm Contacts.
  3. On the Alarm Contacts page, click the Alarm Contact Group tab.
  4. On the Alarm Contact Group tab, click Create Alarm Contact Group.
  5. In the Create Alarm Contact Group right-side pane, specify the alert group name and add alert contacts to the alert group.
  6. Click Confirm.

Add multiple alert contacts to an alert group at a time

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Alarms > Alarm Contacts.
  3. On the Alarm Contacts tab of the Alarm Contacts page, select multiple alert contacts.
  4. Click Add to a contact group.
  5. In the Confirm dialog box, select the target alert group.
  6. Click OK.
