This topic describe how to configure the display mode of a dashboard. By default, you can view all analysis charts in a dashboard in the display mode. When you configure the display mode, you can add chart elements, enable automatic refresh, and set the title display mode.

To open a dashboard in the Log Service console, you can click the Dashboard icon on the left-side navigation bar of the Logstores page, and then click the dashboard name in the Dashboard list. Alternatively, you can expand the dashboard list in the left-side navigation pane on the Search & Analysis page or Saved Search page, and then click the dashboard name.

Display settings

  • Dashboard display settings

In the display mode of a dashboard, the following buttons are provided on the page: Please Select, Edit, Alerts, Refresh, Share, Full Screen, Title Configuration, and Reset Time.

  • Analysis chart display settings
In the display mode, you can move the pointer over the More icon in the upper-right corner of the chart to expand the shortcut menu to obtain details of the chart.
Note Different charts in a dashboard have different shortcut menus. For example, you cannot use the shortcut menu of a custom chart or Markdown table to view analysis details because they are not analysis charts.

Set a query time range for a dashboard of a Logstore

All charts in a dashboard use the query time range that is set for the dashboard. To set a query time range for a single chart, follow the instructions described in Set the query time range for a chart.
Note When you click the Please Select button on the dashboard page, you can select a query time range. However, the selected query time range is a temporary setting and will not be saved. Every time you re-open the dashboard, the system will display the analysis results of the default query time range.
  1. Log on to the Log Service console, and then click the target project name.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click the Dashboard icon.
  3. Click the Logstore management icon icon next to the dashboard, and then select Details.
  4. Click Please Select.
  5. Select a time range, and then click OK.
You can set one of the following time ranges:
    • Relative: queries log data obtained in a time range of 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or other time ranges that end with the current time, accurate to the second. For example, if the current time is 19:20:31 and you select 1Hour as the relative time, the charts in the dashboard query log data obtained from 18:30:31 to 19:20:31.
    • Time Frame: If you select or customize a time range less than one hour (for example, 1 minute, 5 minutes, and 15 minutes), log data obtained in the time range that ends with the current time is queried, accurate to the minute. If you select or customize a time range greater than one hour, log data obtained on the hour before the current time is queried. For example, if the current time is 19:20:31 and you select 1Hour as the time frame, the charts in the dashboard query log data obtained from 18:00:00 to 19:00:00.
    • Custom: queries log data obtained in a specified time range.
  6. Mover the pointer over the Please Select button to confirm the specified time range.
