ApsaraDB RDS:Delete backup data

This topic describes how to delete backup data that is generated by manual backups to reduce the backup costs of an ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL instance.

Prerequisites

Manual backup sets are generated for the RDS instance. For more information about manual backup, see Back up an ApsaraDB RDS for PostgreSQL instance.

Procedure

Warning

If you confirm the deletion, the backup set of your RDS instance is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

  1. Go to the Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the RDS instance resides. Then, find the RDS instance and click the ID of the instance.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane of the page that appears, click Backup and Restoration.

  3. On the page that appears, click the Base Backups tab and then the Data Backup tab.

  4. Find the backup set that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.1
