DataWorks provides a visual, no-code interface for moving data between sources. Use DataWorks to import data from ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL into AnalyticDB for MySQL when you need a simpler setup than external tables. This approach works best for small-volume imports.

Before you begin, ensure that you have:
An exclusive resource group for Data Integration that meets your capacity requirements. For setup instructions, see Create and use an exclusive resource group for Data Integration

A database account with the permissions required for data synchronization. For details, see Overview
Import data from ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL
Add your ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL instance as a data source in DataWorks. For instructions, see Add a MySQL data source.
Add your AnalyticDB for MySQL cluster as a data source in DataWorks. For instructions, see Add an AnalyticDB for MySQL 3.0 data source.
Configure a data synchronization job in Data Integration to move data from the RDS source to the AnalyticDB for MySQL destination. For instructions, see Configure a synchronization task in Data Integration.
