DataWorks provides a visual, codeless interface for batch data synchronization, making it simpler to set up than importing data via external tables. This approach is best suited for smaller datasets. This topic describes how to import data from ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server into AnalyticDB for MySQL using DataWorks.
When to use this method:
You want a codeless, visual setup without writing SQL or scripts
Your dataset is relatively small (for large-scale datasets, consider other methods)
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
Configured the data sources. For more information, see Configure the data sources. For a full list of supported data sources, see Supported data sources and synchronization solutions
An exclusive resource group for Data Integration that meets your business requirements. For more information, see Create and use an exclusive resource group for Data Integration
Network connections established between the exclusive resource group for Data Integration and your data sources (both Kafka and AnalyticDB for MySQL). For more information, see Establish a network connection between a resource group and a data source
Procedure
Add an ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server data source. For details, see Add an SQL Server data source.
Add an AnalyticDB for MySQL data source. For details, see Add an AnalyticDB for MySQL 3.0 data source.
Configure a batch data synchronization job using the codeless UI. For details, see Configure a batch synchronization task using the codeless UI.
