Notice of Network Anomaly Visiting Asia Pacific SE 1 Network From China Unicom

Fault Description: Monitoring results discovered that at around Beijing time 22:56 on July 10, 2017, users of the China Unicom operator experienced packet loss when visiting some Internet resources in the Singapore region (including Asia Pacific SE 1 network resources). The packet loss rate may reach to more than 50% in some areas. Alibaba cloud has reported the fault to the operator, and the switch of the redundant line has finished.
Fault Reason: Network congestion from China Unicom to Singapore area.

[Fault Update]
Beijing Time 11:40 on July 10, 2017
Fault Recovery: Monitoring results discovered that the operator’s network has been stable. Alibaba Cloud has completed switching back the redundancy link at around 10:58. The network latency from Asia Pacific SE 1 to China Unicom has been back to normal.

Beijing Time 23:25 on July 10, 2017
Current Progress: The switch of the redundant line has finished at Beijing Time 23:15 on July 10, 2017. The network latency from China Unicom to Asia Pacific SE 1 network increased by around 100ms, but no packet loss.
Action Plan: After the quality of the China Unicom network is stable, we will switch back the redundant line of Asia Pacific SE 1 region.
