One of the world’s most popular and iconic Irish whiskeys, Redbreast 12 year old is a blend of whiskeys aged in both bourbon and Sherry casks. Its long,
rich history begins in the mid-19th century when Ireland was struggling with its economy after the Act of Union in 1800 when Ireland was formally joined to Great Britain. Redbreast Year Old Cask Strength is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It was first released in 2007 and is bottled at cask strength without any chill filtration or added coloring. Redbreast Year Old Cask Strength is made using a combination of malted and unmalted barley that is triple distilled in copper pot stills. The whiskey is then matured for a minimum of 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-sherry casks. |
