Public, Private Or Hybrid Cloud: What’s Best For You & Why
Cloud technology and cloud-based IT has seen massive adoption in all business verticals from healthcare to marketing. But one question that still remains unanswered for businesses who are ready to make to jump to the cloud but have no idea as to which cloud system, is what is the best fit for their business operations and how to figure it out. In this article, we intend to bring to light the differences between the three types of cloud infrastructure and specifically pointing out why hybrid cloud IT is the best among the others.
Public vs. Private Cloud IT A survey by the IDC found that businesses and enterprises are predicted to spend more than $38.2 billion in this year alone. This survey itself is proof that more and more companies are moving over to the cloud and opting for cloud services like QuickBooks hosting , etc. every day. With that being said, it is also important to mention that no matter which type of cloud infrastructure a company uses, they will still be getting a capable and reliant IT system. Previously, companies chose the type of cloud infrastructure based on current business conditions and were also somewhat influenced by the industry the company dabbled in. For instance, private cloud is well suited for new players in the financial industry. This type of cloud infrastructure also enables business with greater data security and access control, which works wonders when business requirements call for quick and easy access to operational data to authorized employees. This type of cloud also enables businesses to keep their confidential operational information safe and private. On the other hand, public cloud systems offer businesses with the ability to downscale or upscale their requirements quickly and easily to match their current requirements. This helps businesses to contain and manage unplanned or popular projects efficiently and without any major hassles. But these same benefits are also shadowed by security and privacy issues, which by the way is ill-founded, as most cloud service providers take this issue very seriously and put up numerous security measures to mitigate and avoid such issues. This is where hybrid cloud systems come in as it allows to eliminate all previous issues and hurdles of compatibility, customization, implementation, and data privacy/security. It amalgamates the benefits of both Private and Public cloud systems and further also allows multiple avenues to quash the inefficiencies of both. Hybrid Cloud IT Hybrid cloud systems are simply Public and Private cloud systems merged to function as one single IT entity and are widely popular nowadays. It delivers tremendous IT advantages critical to business success and efficiency with increased operational speed, better data security/privacy, and promotes innovation and better experience internally. Another report published by Markets and Markets, predicts that global hybrid cloud service market will grow exponentially from a $33.28 Billion industry (2016 )to a mammoth $91.74 Billion industry by the end of 2021. Here a few advantages of hybrid cloud IT briefly explained help business owners make the smart choice when jumping aboard the cloud bandwagon. 1. Flexible and Quick Clients who rely on cloud-based IT have to constantly adapt and overcome the ever-changing customer demands. They also have to persistently improve their customer experience, which requires a very systematic approach with multiple variations and encompasses the implementation of numerous technologies apart from the cloud. Hybrid cloud setups enable businesses to carry out their operations tactically, placing systems where they are necessary and where they can be the most beneficial. It allows businesses to implement and tailor its IT infrastructure which integrates the power and reliability of dedicated servers along with cloud-based and other existing IT resources to deliver high-performance business capabilities. 2. Better Data Security/Privacy Ever since the inception of cloud computing and cloud based IT services, data security and privacy have been a major area of concern, as it leverages the power of the internet to deliver its services. And as we all know that the internet and every bit of data floating in its vastness is under constant threat. Hybrid cloud setups employ numerous data security measures to keep cyber criminals at bay and take various precautions to avoid and plug data intrusions. It also allows businesses to put in place stringent data access protocols which regulate the amount of data that can be accessed by the employees and other stakeholders and also manages a proper log of each every action for greater accountability. In short, data security and privacy are one of the top concerns of cloud service providers and they go to extreme lengths to ensure that their client’s data is secured with top-notch digital security measures. 3. Improved Agility and Experience Previously, companies really liked to enforce data security and privacy from their end and were quite stringent with the matter which led to inefficiencies and declining productivity. But as times have changed and taken a more digital approach, companies are now promoting data integration with clients and business partners, which is only possible with hybrid cloud systems. Companies can now secure confidential data on private servers and put all other non-significant data on public servers. This helps create a better experience not just for the clients and the customers, but for everyone involved. To sum it up, every cloud service and system is unique in itself and finding the right fit will require somewhat rigorous research and assessment. But as far as cloud systems go, you can hardly find a better fit than hybrid cloud IT, as it delivers the benefits of both Public and Private cloud IT while negating the drawbacks of both. Simply put, hybrid is just like a scrumptious cocktail of both Private and Public cloud IT infrastructure, and that is why is it always the best choice. Source: MyRealData |

Well, there is nothing like the best cloud platform as all three cloud platforms; public, private and hybrid have their own advantages and disadvantages and this is why choosing the best cloud platform depends on what you are expecting from the cloud and your main reason for the paradigm shift to the cloud platform.
If you choose private cloud then you will get better control and high level customization such as hosted quickbooks cloud but you will have to pay a high price while the same is just opposite in the case of public cloud. And when you will choose a hybrid cloud system then you will get the required agility but you will have to deal with migration complexities and compliance problems. So every cloud platform has its own advantages and disadvantages. Instead of searching for the best cloud platform, you should analyze your need, go through a detailed analysis of cloud platforms and then make the right decision. Take a look, it better explains. ![]() |
